Hello Everyone! Happy Homecoming Week! It was so great to meet some of the students' grandparents and even great grandparents on Monday! This is one of my favorite PTA events! The students were so excited. Speaking of PTA events... Donuts with Dad is already coming up. A blue note went home with the oldest C R Hanna Child in each family. Please sent RSVP's back to school with your child.

Pink Math Note
Please take a few extra minutes to read the pink note that is coming home in Friday Folders. It is very important that parents read and understand the note. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

The Week Ahead
English: We started a unit on nouns, and we will continue to work on that unit next week. So far we have discussed what a noun is and what common and proper nouns are.
Writing: We will be working on how to stick to our topic while writing.
Math: We will learn to write fractions using the fraction bar, write fraction number sentences that equal one, identify dozen and half dozen, write a fraction to show a part of a set, read and write numbers to 1,000 using digits, and write money amounts using the dollar sign  and cent symbols.
Science: We will continue to learn about the different types of animals.
Social Studies: We will be learning how to read and create time lines.

Have a wonderful weekend, and enjoy this refreshing weather!
