Hello! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! If you have not already signed up for parent teacher conferences, please call the office and set something up with me! Conferences are on Thursday and Friday of this week. I am looking forward to speaking with all of you!
The Week Ahead
English: We will continue our unit about nouns.
Writing: We are working on an expository writing assignment about Halloween safety tips. The students are really enjoying this assignment.
Math: We will learn to interpret the quotient as the number of groups or the number of objects in each group using units of 2 and 3, and we will learn to skip-count objects in models to build fluency with multiplication facts using units of 4.
Reading: My reading class will be working on fluency and expression by practicing some exciting reader's theaters!
Science: We will start learning about forest ecosystems!
Social Studies: We will learn about communities being started in different places.
Shoe Boxes
If you have any empty shoe boxes, please send them to school with your child. We will be doing a model of an ecosystem as a science project in the near future!
